Want to be a part of a real social network focused on engagement, education and empowerment of like-minded, professional, intelligent and inspirational women?
Today at 5:15 p.m. in the GSD room at the the Museao building (3500 Buttonwood Drive) in Columbia, we will be hosting the first Girls In Tech meeting for mid-Missouri women.
My colleagues, Emily Eldridge, Jami Oetting and I knew that there was a need in our community to be able to collaborate with like-minded individuals in the tech field and thought this would be a great opportunity to start.
I hope that this provides a community and a space where we can not only learn about the tech field further, how women are contributing to the industry, new trends and technologies that are emerging, but to also make strong alliances, empower women in the field and to create new partnerships with other females in our area.
Please feel free to attend and to bring your friends, peers and colleagues. This will be an informational and planning meeting.
If you can’t attend, please find us on Facebook for meeting updates or email Emily Eldridge at emilyleldridge@gmail.com.
