JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich has started a review focused on the state Senate.

The last audit of the legislature was completed in 2009 and found that lobbyists were not reporting some expenses to the state Ethics Commission. The auditor urged lawmakers to reconsider a practice of soliciting donations from lobbyists.

Schweich is encouraging people who would like to provide information for the Senate audit to contact his office.
