Wanda Mae Freie worked for Columbia Public Schools for more than a decade

COLUMBIA — Wanda May Freie of Columbia, an employee of Columbia Public Schools for more than a decade, died Friday, June 8, 2012. She was 78.

She was born April 13, 1934, in Cook Station to Pleas D. and Dora (Gorman) Edgar.

She married Bill Freie. 

Mrs. Freie is survived by two daughters, Lisa Delcour of Loveland, Ohio, and Lori Delcour of Hays, Kan.; a son, Jason Delcour of Columbia; two sisters, Bonnie Lea and her husband, Pete, and Beaulah Roper, all of Steelville.; and longtime friend and companion, Richard Moore, of Fulton.

Her husband, Bill Freie; and four brothers, Elmer Edgar, Reuben Edgar, Cecil Edgar and Harold Edgar died earlier.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Horizon Methodist Church, 1020 S. El Chaparral Ave. Burial will be at Owensville City Cemetery.
