Jessie Washington Miller, April 6, 1921 — June 14, 2012

Jessie "Dub" Washington Miller, 91, of Columbia passed away June 14, 2012.

He was born on April 6, 1921, in Boone County to Charley and Edzy (Breedlove) Miller.

Dub worked as a mechanic for the City of Columbia for 32 years. He was a member of Dripping Springs Christian Church.

Dub is survived by his daughter, Connie L. Fares; son, Terry Lynn Miller; grandson, Floyd W. Fares (Michelle), all of Columbia; nephews James Miller (Martha) of Honolulu and Danny Miller (Fay) of Columbia; and nieces, Pam Miller, Patricia Fagan and Vicki Purdy, all of Columbia, Sandra Miller of Oak Grove and Beverly Palmer (Don) of Mexico, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mahala Miller; son, Jerry Miller; sister, Hattie Miller; two brothers, C. B. Miller and Ralph Miller; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 am Monday, June 18, 2012, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Woodhaven Learning Center or to Dripping Springs Christian Church.
