Free screening of green documentary to be shown on summer solstice

COLUMBIA — In celebration of the summer solstice, a free showing of a documentary that showcases the latest renewable energy solutions will be shown Wednesday night.

"Deep Green," the winner of 20 prestigious awards, will be shown at 7 p.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut St.

The event is co-sponsored by the Columbia Climate Change Coalition and Missourians for Safe Energy. After the show, attendees can participate in an open discussion prompted by the film.
