Accident causes lane closure on I-70 west of Columbia

COLUMBIA — The westbound passing lane on Interstate 70 was closed at mile marker 115.4 for about 45 minutes Friday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A two-vehicle collision caused the accident shortly before 8:50 a.m. Friday. According to the Highway Patrol’s crash report, Michelle Tavenner, 29, of Pilot Grove, was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

The lane was reopened at 9:34 a.m. Friday.
