COLUMBIA — Berry Kelly, husband, father and life-long educator passed away at the age of 88.
Born in Columbia, Mo., Berry attended Lincoln University where he graduated with a degree in engineering. He moved to Los Angeles, Calif., after his service in World War II to join three of his seven siblings in the Golden State.
There he found his calling as a teacher and later a consultant for the State Department of Education and pursued his interests in architecture, design, wood work, music and golf.
Berry’s sense of humor, dedication to justness for all, and generosity of spirit will be missed by all who knew him but especially by his surviving wife, Irene Kelly, and daughters, Brook Kelly-Green and Samantha Stephens.
