We had 16 students from the 2012 Missouri Scholars Academy visit in the newsroom Monday. They came as a part of Chad Painter's class "Free Press in the Digital Age" and took a tour of the newsroom with Elizabeth Brixey, the Columbia Missourian editor who oversees coverage of education.
While they were here, Brixey asked them how they would define journalism based on their visit. The picture below showcases some of their answers.
Want to see the newsroom yourself? Visit us at 221 S. Eighth St. anytime. We'd love to show you around.
This story is part of a section of the Missourian called From Readers, which is dedicated to your voices and your stories. We hope you'll consider sharing. Here's how. Supervising editor is Joy Mayer.
