COLUMBIA — Joseph Roush, a former Columbia firefighter, was sentenced Monday to four years in prison for his involvement with a 15-year-old family member.

Roush pleaded guilty April 16 to child endangerment after being charged with sexual exploitation of a minor last July.

In a pre-sentencing hearing June 4, Roush took the stand and admitted he touched the breasts of the victim. The original charge included allegations that he touched other parts of the girl, which he denied.

He also admitted taking nude photographs of the girl.

Before Judge Kevin Crane handed down his sentence, Roush said he was sorry for what he had done.
