Columbia's 60th Fourth of July celebration schedule

Here’s everything you need to know about Columbia’s 60th Annual Fourth of July celebration:

WHEN: "Fire in the Sky" begins at 9 p.m.

WHERE: The District (fireworks will be launched from the top of the Sixth and Cherry parking garage)

PARKING: Free parking in lots and garages throughout the District and on the MU campus, unless marked closed. Please note: parking will be restricted in the Sixth and Cherry garage beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday and on surrounding streets beginning at 5 p.m.


  • Bring blankets or lawn chairs.
  • Live entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. in Peace Park and Flat Branch Park.
  • Children's activities begin at 6:30 p.m. at Flat Branch Park.
  • Concessions will be available to purchase.
