ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man accused of shooting at three boys who were setting off fireworks faces criminal charges.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that one of the boys was wounded. The 56-year-old suspect, William Prada, was charged Friday with three counts of first-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action.

St. Louis police said the boys were shooting off fireworks in an alley around 9:40 p.m. Thursday when the man yelled at them and pulled a firearm. An 11-year-old boy was struck near his hip, and shots were fired in the direction of two 10-year-old boys. Police say the wounded boy was stable.

A firearm was recovered when Prada was arrested.

Bail has been set at $75,000 cash only. No attorney is listed for Prada in online court records.
