Kenley Conyers, 6, was named Little Miss Boone County Fair in the contest last year. This year she won't participate in the contest but will be involved in other activities, including the downtown parade.

COLUMBIA — Kenley Conyers, 6, has been a contestant in the Boone County Fair beauty pageant almost every year since she was 6 months old. She got eighth place that year, third the year after and first when she was 3 in the Baby Contests. In 2011, at 5 years old, she became Little Miss Boone County.

This year she is not eligible to participate in the contest, but you can spot her around the Boone County Fair in some of the activities. She will ride in the Boone County Fair downtown parade on Saturday.

Kenley spends most of her summer afternoons at home playing games with her little brother, Kason, 3, who calls her “Tenley” or “Sisi.” Coloring, putting stickers on themselves and playing Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders were part of their routine on July 7.

The Boone County Fair will be July 24–28 at the Central Missouri Event Center, 5212 N. Oakland Gravel Road.
