Boone County Fair Grounds is set up to welcome fair goers Thurday, July 19, north of Columbia.

COLUMBIA — In keeping with this year's theme, “A Whole New Fair,” organizers behind the Boone County Fair are striving to give the public a better experience and more bang for their buck.

This year, the fair will include more outside food vendors, numerous local musicians playing everything from pop to jazz, and new entertainment, including mounted shooting and a mud volleyball tournament. The rides for the fair are currently being set up at the fairgrounds.

The Boone County Fair will be July 24–28 at the Central Missouri Event Center, 5212 N. Oakland Gravel Road.
