COLUMBIA — Bernice Zobrisky spent much of her time helping others. She always put others needs in front of her own and enjoyed being able to lend a hand.

"She was one of the most altruistic women I've ever known," her daughter, Toni Bray, said. "She's one of the most amazing people you could ever know."

Bernice Neomi (Reddick) Zobrisky of Hinton died Saturday, July 28, 2012. She was 86.

Mrs. Zobrisky was born April 4, 1926, in Farmington, Missouri, to Grace and Oral Reddick. She was the eldest daughter and had seven siblings. She later married Steve Zobrisky.

The couple made their home in several places. Over the years they lived in Hinton; Columbia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Moscow, Idaho; and Silver Springs, Md. In 1988, they returned to Hinton.

Mrs. Zobrisky was a long-time member of Oakland Christian Church. She found pleasure in many activities such as gardening, reading and baking.

Her husband said that she was one of a kind, and her loved ones will remember her for the care and spirit of giving that she had for others.

"She cared about almost everything," her brother, Roy Reddick, said. "They don't make them like that any more."
