LETTER TO THE EDITOR: John Davis believes in helping others

Wednesday, August 1, 2012 | 6:00 a.m. CDT

John “Jack” Davis, has always believed in helping others. He has lived in Columbia for over 40 years. For more than 30 years, John served in patient care at Truman Veterans Hospital. I believe that John, now retired, will do his duty to help keep our country’s freedoms alive and well.

He graduated from MU with a bachelor's degree in history. As a student of history, he learned to appreciate the value of our Constitution in promoting freedom and the prosperity of our country. He has attended nearly every meeting of the Republican Central Committee over several months and plans to work to elect Republican candidates. He was a delegate in the 2008 Republican district and state conventions and is reliably active this year fulfilling the same duty.

I heartily recommend John Davis for Republican Committeeman for the Third Ward in the primary election on August 7.
