FROM READERS: Columbia Gators win gold in Show-Me State Games

The Columbia Gators 11-and-under baseball team.

Mary Kiesling is the mother of Drake Kiesling, one of the members of this team.

The Columbia Gators 11-and-under baseball team took the gold in the Show-Me State Games on Sunday, July 29. The team is coached by John Hay, with assistant coaches Tony Boussad and Todd Barnes.

The team players were Kent Barnes, Mason Boussad, Ben Burton, Ben Creasy, Luke Fenton, Jack Fischer, Zack Hay, Drake Kiesling, Foster McCormick, Bryce Rauba and Gage Whitley.

The team was 5-0 and defeated the Poplar Bluff Bobcats 6-5 in seven innings in the championship game.
