COLUMBIA — The Missouri men's basketball team will be spending part of its Thanksgiving break in the Bahamas.

The Tigers will face the Stanford Cardinal, the defending NCAA National Invitation Tournament champions, in the opening round of the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis tournament on Nov. 22 at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

The tournament will run from Nov. 22-24. In addition to Missouri and Stanford, Louisville, Duke, Memphis, VCU, Minnesota and Northern Iowa will also be playing.

Missouri ended last season with a 30-5 record and a 2012 Big 12 Tournament Championship and will start off their inaugural Southeastern Conference season this year.
