COLUMBIA – The step into the Southeastern Conference has resulted in a record number of football season tickets.

The Missouri Athletics Department announced Tuesday that it surpassed its preseason goal of 45,000 season tickets by about 500. The previous season ticket high on record what in 2008, with 41,413. Last season the football team had 39,879 season tickets sold.

A limited number of both public and student season tickets remain available. The Missouri Ticket Office estimates 300 public season ticket locations and around 600 Football-Only student tickets remain. Fans can officially request tickets online at MUTigers.com. Students who have registered for fall classes are eligible to purchase Football-Only tickets at MUTigers.com as well.

Single game tickets for the three non-conference home games are currently available for purchase online, by phone at 1-800-CAT PAWS or 884-7297, or at the Missouri Ticket Office.

Beginning Aug. 8, Tiger Scholarship Fund members at designated levels will have the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets to SEC games, followed by Missouri football season ticket holders. If tickets remain, SEC games will go on sale to the public on Friday, Aug. 24 beginning at 6 p.m. at MUTigers.com. Tickets will be available beginning Monday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m.

Single-game tickets for the Georgia and Alabama games may not be available to the public. A season ticket is the only way to guarantee a ticket to all seven Missouri football home games.
