Ashley Rapp remembered for her magnetic smile, kindness to others

COLUMBIA — Ashley Alexandra Rapp of Columbia died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012. She was 28.

She was born Nov. 3, 1983, in Columbia to Keith and Teresa Wise Rapp.

Ms. Rapp graduated from Hickman High School in 2002 and then attended Moberly Area Community College, where she received her associate's degree. She had aspirations to return to school to pursue a degree in nursing.

She worked as a psychiatric aide at Missouri Psychiatric Center.

Ms. Rapp enjoyed working with her patients, being with family and friends, fishing and sports.

She had a way with people, had a smile like a magnet and always thought of others first, her family said.

Ms. Rapp is survived by her close friend, Scottie Crews; her parents, Keith and Teresa Rapp; three sisters, Brittany, Lindsey and Mackensey; her nieces, Raelle and Aramiah; and her grandmother, Doris Sharpe.

Her grandparents, Kenneth and Marian Rapp and Albert Wise Jr., died earlier.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Midway Heights Baptist Church, 6801 W. Rollingwood Blvd. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
