Former Missouri receiver named Arena Football League rookie of the year

The Arena Football League announced that former Missouri Tiger wide receiver Jared Perry is the Net10 Rookie of the Year after he caught 133 passes for 1,811 yards and scored 33 total touchdowns for the Chicago Rush.

Former Missouri football player Jared Perry has been named the the Arena Football League's NET10 Rookie of the Year.

Perry, now a wide receiver for the Chicago Rush, played at Missouri from 2006 to 2009. With the Rush Perry caught 133 passes for 1,811 receiving yards and scored 33 touchdowns. He had at least nine catches in eight different games.

"God has been good for it (football) not to  stop in my life as I still have more plays to make," Perry said in a team release.

Before turning to Arena Football, Perry tried out for NFL and CFL teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles.
