COLUMBIA – There may not be a big top, but the best of the circus will be in Flat Branch Park on Wednesday night.

As part of the ongoing Family Fun Fest series, Wednesday's theme, "It's a Circus," will  feature Ann Gaefke's performing dogs, the Ringtop Circus Band and a magic show by Jeff Copeland at 7 p.m. There will also be balloon animals, a bounce house, games and face painting.

The event is free and runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flat Branch Park, 101 S. Fourth St.

The Family Fun Fest series is sponsored by the Convention and Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5 radio, KOMU, Columbia Home Magazine and EntPro Entertainment.

The Family Fun Fest series began in April and will run through September. The events are on the third Wednesday of every month.

Supervising editor is Ann Elise Taylor.
