Missouri soccer's Alyssa Diggs earns honors after opening weekend

COLUMBIA — Alyssa Diggs, a forward on the Missouri soccer team, earned two national honors following her opening weekend performance.

She was named the College Sports Madness SEC Player of the Week and one of's Primetime Performers.

Her two goals on Friday contributed to the 5-1 upset of No. 11 Memphis. She buried another goal on Sunday that helped the Tigers defeat UC Santa Barbara 2-0. Diggs is currently the second-leading goalscorer in the SEC.
