Pinkel says Josey won't play for Missouri football in 2012

COLUMBIA — Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel announced Monday that running back Henry Josey will not play this season after injuring his knee in last November.
Josey, who led the Tigers in rushing last season with 1,168 yards in 10 games, suffered tears in his patellar tendon, ACL and MCL in his left knee in a game against Texas last season. The injury required surgeries after he was hurt and again in the spring.
He is expected to make a full recovery, but the junior will sit out this year. Josey is currently able to run sprints and will continue with his rehabilitation to his knee.
Senior Kendial Lawrence will start for the Tigers at running back.
Missouri opens the season Saturday against Southeastern Louisiana.
