Columbia police looking for leads in Stadium Boulevard bank robbery

Columbia police are seeking information about a suspect shown in this surveillance photo from Landmark Bank. The bank branch at 202 N. Stadium Blvd. was robbed Wednesday morning.

COLUMBIA — Columbia police were looking at surveillance video for leads in the robbery of the Landmark Bank at 202 N. Stadium Blvd. Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the Police Department, at about 2 p.m., a white man appearing to be about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 190 pounds with a receding hairline and glasses entered the bank and demanded money from a teller using a written note that implied he had a weapon. No weapon was displayed.

He then left the bank on foot, going north, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were asking anyone with information to contact the Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-8477.
