Rosanna Whitesides, Sept 7, 1939 — Aug 30, 2012

Rosanna Whitesides, 72, of Columbia, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at Parker Funeral Service. Visitation is Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rosanna was born September 7, 1939 in Hartsburg, Missouri to Ballard and Dolora M. Nichols Watson. She was a graduate of Ashland High School in 1957, She was married to James Perkins and he preceded her in death. On January 30, 1998 she married Donald G. Whitesides and he survives. Rosanna worked at Boone Electric for many years retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and New Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, computers, sewing and traveling. Rosanna lived in Boone County her entire life.

She is survived by her husband Donald G. Whitesides of the home, two sons, Jay Perkins of St Ann, MO and Dennis Whitesides and his wife Prannie of Columbia; 2 daughters Jackie Janssen of Fulton and Deborah Sheldon and her husband Roger of Nebraska City, NB; one brother, Jimmy Watson and his wife Helen of Columbia and one sister, Florence Crane of Ashland. Three grand children and 9 great grand children also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one sister and one brother.
