Cougars men's soccer team beats Vikings 3-2

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Columbia College men’s soccer team beat the sixth-ranked Grand View University Vikings 3-2 in Des Moines on Friday night.

Columbia scored first with a goal from Marko Paunovic in the 15th minute. Andres Acosta and Antonio Ayres provided the assist.

Grand View notched the equalizer five minutes later.

Columbia Cougars J.P. Gronberg and Dale McCormack each added goals before the half to make it 3-1. The Vikings then scored on a second half free kick to cut the deficit to one. Matt McKenna was in goal for the Cougars. Columbia's first victory saw them improve to 1-1 on the season.
