Tigers volleyball team goes 1-1 in doubleheader at Morehead State

MOREHEAD, Ky. — The Missouri volleyball team swept Valparaiso 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-18) in the Morehead State Invitational on Friday. The win came with 15 kills from junior Lisa Henning, the SEC player of the week, as well as 12 points and six kills from sophomore Whitney Little. 

Later that day, the team played Morehead State and lost 3-2 (25-16, 23-25, 21-25, 25-21, 13-15). Henning had 24 kills and Little had 12. Little also posted 12 blocks, which is one away from Missouri's record set by Weiwen Wang in 2007 at Colorado.

The Tigers (7-2) will play Savannah State on Saturday at 5 p.m. It will be the team's final game of the Morehead State Invitational.
