COLUMBIA —Senior Ethan Zars led the Hickman High School boys cross-country team to a 24th-place finish Saturday at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival in St. Louis.

Zars finished the 5-kilometer course in 17 minutes and 17 seconds, good for 89th overall in the green division. Sophomore Alex Keneipp was 112th with a time of 17:33, also in the green division.

On the girls side, senior Hannah Corbin finished 204th overall after crossing the finish line in 22:47. The girls team had four runners compete and did not place, because schools have to field at least five athletes to score points in the team standings.

O'Fallon, Ill., won the green division for the boys, while Lee's Summit West won for the girls.

Hickman will return to St. Louis next Saturday for the Hazelwood Central Invitational. Races will begin at 9 a.m.
