Columbia Police respond to shots fired Tuesday night on Leeway Drive

COLUMBIA – Several shots were fired at about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 2900 Leeway Drive, in the northeast part of Columbia.

The Columbia Police Department received several 911 calls concerning five to eight shots fired in the area. No injuries were reported. 

There was one witness who reported seeing a man in the street firing a handgun in the air. The police haven't identified any suspects yet, but they found shell casings on the driveway leading up to an apartment building on Leeway Drive.
