Columbia College volleyball rolls past Williams Baptist College

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College volleyball team beat Williams Baptist College 3-0 and 3-0 in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at the Arena of Southwell Complex.

The third-ranked Cougars improved to 10-1 after the doubleheader and are now 4-0 in the American Midwest Conference. Williams Baptist College dropped to 11-4 and 3-4 in conference play.

With scores of 25-12, 25-13, and 25-16 in their first match, the Cougars romped to a straight set victory. Columbia also breezed past the Williams Baptist Eagles in their second match, winning 25-14, 25-15, and 25-20.

Columbia College junior Kahoriz Feliz led the Cougar attack with 29 total kills.  Carol Berger also contributed 21 kills. Columbia College's AMC Player of the Week, Paula Ferreira, finished with 82 assists. Elena Berroteran also added a match-high 20 digs.

The Cougars have now won 142 straight regular-season conference matches and will next face William Woods University in Fulton on Thursday, September 20th at 7:00 p.m.
