COLUMBIA — A Boone County woman pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and unlawful use of a deadly weapon on Monday.

Ebony Williams, 24, was arrested in connection with an incident where a semi-automatic pistol was fired at a brown SUV outside the Kwik Store/BP Station at 5701 E. St. Charles Road. During the incident, which took place on April 20, her 4- and 5-year-old daughters were waiting in her car, according to previous Missourian reporting.

After the incident, witnesses told police a man and a woman had been arguing outside the convenience store before a shot was fired. A man believed to be part of the dispute was released after being interviewed by detectives, according to previous reporting.

Williams will have a hearing on Oct. 15.
