County Assessor
WHAT'S THE JOB:
The Moniteau County assessor places value on public and personal real estate for the purpose of property taxation. The county assessor reassesses property values every year in order to keep up with the current market. Reassessment is the process that updates the current assessed value and happens every year but is only placed on the tax rolls every odd-numbered year.
