Women’s soccer falls to Lindenwood in overtime

The Columbia College women’s soccer team lost 2-1 in overtime to NCAA Div. II member Lindenwood on Tuesday in St. Charles.

Amanda Caldwell scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from Natausha Sanchez in the 52nd minute to give the Cougars the early lead, but the Lions produced the tying goal in the 75th minute. In overtime, Lindenwood connected for the winner in the 98th minute.

Erica Ramirez took the loss in goal with three saves.

Columbia College (2-5-0) returns to the field against Graceland University in a 5 p.m. contest Saturday in Lamoni, Iowa.
