SPRINGFIELD — Officials at Missouri State University say they have a record enrollment of students at the Springfield campus.

The university says 21,059 students are enrolled for the fall semester. That's up more than 250 students from last year and also better than the previous record of 20,949 set in the fall 2010 semester.

The university says 2,102 students are enrolled at its West Plains campus, down slightly from last year.

The fall 2012 figures are based on the 20th day of classes, which is the state's official date for an enrollment census.
