Rock Bridge softball beats New Franklin with strong offense

The Rock Bridge softball team ran its record to 13-2 after a 14-0 victory Thursday at New Franklin High School.

The Bruins' offense collected 16 hits. Junior Callie Sapp had two hits, including a two-run home run and four RBIs. Juniors Lindsey Grant, Madison Wipfler and Conner Logsdon also collected two hits apiece, while Wipfler, junior Breanna Logan and sophomore Kelsey Knorr each had two RBIs.

Logan and Logsdon combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Bruins, with Logan striking out five and Logsdon striking out two.

Rock Bridge's next game will be Friday against Kirksville in the first game of the Kewpie Klassic Tournament. The game will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Antimi Sports Complex in Columbia.
