Southeast Missouri State sees steady enrollment growth for 18 years

CAPE GIRARDEAU — Enrollment at Southeast Missouri State University is at an all-time high.

The university has released figures showing 11,729 undergraduate and graduate students for the fall semester, a 1.9 percent increase from the fall of 2011.

It is the 18th straight year of enrollment growth for the Cape Girardeau-based university.

Southeast also cited an increase in full-time enrollment, and a decrease in part-time students. Meanwhile, the retention rate is up with nearly 74 percent of students remaining at the school.
