Police searching for suspect of Boone County National Bank robbery

Friday, September 21, 2012 | 9:46 p.m. CDT

COLUMBIA – The Columbia Police Department responded at 4:16 p.m. Friday to a bank robbery at Boone County National Bank, located at 5614 St. Charles Rd.

A man entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to a Columbia Police Department press release. The suspect fled the scene on foot heading eastbound with an undisclosed amount of money.

Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
