Jennie Olson worked as Truman Veterans Hospital nurse's aide

COLUMBIA – Jennie Olson of Columbia died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. She was 90.

Ms. Olson was born June 16, 1922, in Lebanon, Kan., to Herbert Arthur and Grace Andrus McKim.

She married Marvin W. Olson in Lincoln, Neb., on Feb. 19, 1955.

Mrs. Olson was a member of the Columbia Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was employed as a nurse’s aide at the Truman Veterans Hospital for nine years.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Davis and her husband, James, of Columbia; brother Orval McKim of Humboldt; and four grandchildren.

Her husband, Marvin Olson, and three brothers; Paul, Earl and Don McKim, died earlier.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Columbia Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1100 College Park Drive. Services will be held at 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
