COLUMBIA — A Columbia teen was arrested Monday on suspicion of an armed robbery that occurred July 20.

Victims of the robbery were in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot at 3100 Vandiver Drive when a vehicle that had followed closely pulled up next to them, Columbia Police Department's Public Information Officer Latisha Stroer said. The victims recognized Andrew Barnette-Kruger as one of the two male suspects. The suspects both entered the victims' vehicle and made small talk. One of the suspects exited the car, pulled a gun and demanded money. The victims gave up their money, and the suspects drove away.

Barnette-Kruger was arrested 3:30 p.m. Monday in connection to the July incident. His bail was set at $50,000.

Stroer said that the other suspect has been identified but a warrant request has not yet been submitted.
