What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to chill and relax, but other than that, I like watching film, getting ready for the game. I don't watch TV too much. I chill with my roommates, Will Ebner and Henry Josey. Those are two great guys and great football players. Will being here a long time and Henry being an all-conference player last year, I'm learning from them. Watching them and just knowing the things it takes to be a great football player.

Do you play any other sports?

I did play basketball in high school. I played for a big AAU team called D1 Sports. That's a nationally-ranked team, very good. I was a real good defensive player. I played point guard. I could handle the ball. I learned leadership from that. I never thought about playing in college. I wanted to play football in college. That's something where I changed my mind when I was in 10th grade.

What's your favorite place to eat in Columbia?

I would say a restaurant called George's. My friend (Michael Godas) who's a safety on the team, his dad owns the restaurant. It's a great Italian restaurant, very family-oriented. I feel like it's family there. I always go there with my friends and teammates, and I'm able to relax there and have a good time.

Do you have a favorite NFL team?

I like all NFL teams, but I have a favorite defense that I really like, the Ravens. They have Ed Reed at safety, they got Ray Lewis back there at linebacker, and Jimmy Smith playing corner, so that's my favorite defense right there. I took some things from them, just learning and watching those guys have great enthusiasm and make great plays.

What's your favorite football game you've ever played in?

When I was in junior college at the City College of San Francisco, there was a bowl game that I played in which was a very big game. I think I want to say I had a high of 10 tackles, but it was a big game for me and my teammates. It was just memorable. My sophomore year, just starting there, it was a really good feeling. We went 10-1.
