Columbia College men's soccer ties against Lyon

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College men's soccer team tied Lyon College 1-1 on Saturday afternoon in Batesville, Ark.

The Cougars remain undefeated at 8-0-3 and are 3-0-1 in American Midwest Conference play. Lyon moves to 6-1-2 and 1-0-1 in the conference.

The one Columbia College goal came from junior midfielder Zach Oppland in the 36th minute. Lyon tied the game in the 43rd minute.

Junior Matt McKenna made nine saves in goal for Columbia College.

Columbia College returns to action with a game against conference rival Hannibal-LaGrange at 7 p.m. Wednesday at R. Marvin Owens Soccer Stadium.
