Sunday, September 30, 2012 | 7:08 p.m. CDT

The Missouri soccer team lost 1-0 to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville, Tenn.

The game was hopeful for the Tigers in the first half after both teams failed to score. Missouri sophomore Abi Raymer came close to scoring with an 18- yard shot that drifted to the wide right of the goal.

In the 59th minute of the game, Tennessee managed to score and take a 1-0 lead.

The Tigers seemed poised to make a comeback when sophomore Kaysie Clark got a shot into the lower left part of the net in the 86th minute, but it was ruled offsides, and the shot was disallowed.

The Tigers are now 10-2 this season and 5-1 in the Southeastern Conference.

The team will host two games in Walton Stadium next weekend. The Tigers will face Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Mississippi State at 1 p.m Sunday.
