COLUMBIA — Bertha G. Ravenscraft-Perkins of Ashland died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. She was 84.

She was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Columbia to John William and Elizabeth (Pauley) Ravenscraft.

She married Harold Finis Perkins on May 21, 1943*.

Mrs. Ravenscraft-Perkins was a homemaker after retiring from the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in 1982.

She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Ravenscroft-Perkins is survived by two sons, Harold W. Perkins, and Michael B. Perkins and his wife, Deborah; a daughter, Cynthia C. Perkins and her husband, Vance; a brother, Ralph Ravenscraft and his wife, Rose; 10 grandchildren, Michelle and her husband, Johnathan; Tara; Chris and his wife, Stephanie; Felicity; Ronnie; Lacy and her husband, Sam; Gary; Corri and her husband, Thomas; Rhiannon and her husband, Kris; and Gary; and 12 great-grandchildren, Drew, Katie, Zachary, Paige, Charlotte, Darrell, Katlin, Nathan, Lauren, Jordan, Joey and Jessica; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; two brothers, Emmett Ravenscraft and Norris Ravenscraft; five sisters, Nadine Melloway, Clara Richardson, Edna Sims, Anna Belle Davidson and Mary Kite; and one grandson, Harold Wayne Perkins Jr., died earlier.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Praise Assembly of God Church at 4300 Clark Lane. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
