COLUMBIA — The lockdown at Derby Ridge Elementary School, located at 4000 Derby Ridge Drive, has been lifted.

The school was under a modified lockdown Friday afternoon because of a police investigation, according to a Columbia Public Schools alert.

The outside doors to the school were locked, and activity inside the school continued normally, district spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark said.
