Hickman runners compete at Helias Invitational

JEFFERSON CITY — The Hickman boys cross country team placed second at the Helias Invitational on Saturday at Binder Park in Jefferson City.

Ethan Zars led the boys team with a fourth-place individual finish in 16 minutes, 53 seconds. Brenden Rost, Alex Keneipp, Travis Line and Loyal Carpenter rounded out the Kewpies top five.

Hickman's Nicole Mello won the girls race to help the Kewpies girls team to a fourth-place finish. Mello had a time of 18:35. The other top-five performers for the girls team were Hannah Corbin, Paige Oursler, Jesi Gladden, and Rebecca Katz.
