COLUMBIA — A car drove into one of the walls of the Thirsty Turtle early Thursday morning, leaving a crack in the brick.

According to a news release from the Columbia Police Department, the white Buick was traveling north on Tenth Street when the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Tenth and Rogers streets. When an officer attempted to pull the car over, the car increased its speed and eventually ran into the wall of the nightclub, located on Business Loop 70 East.

Calls to the Thirsty Turtle on Thursday were not answered.
