The Missouri women's soccer team pulled off a 2-1 victory against Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Sunday. The Tigers led in the first half after junior forward Alyssa Diggs scored a goal in the fourth minute of the game.

The Crimson Tide evened out the score in the 62nd minute before Missouri junior midfielder Dominique Richardson scored a goal in the last few minutes of the game to pull out the win for the Tigers.

Missouri redshirt sophomore goal keeper McKenzie Sauerwein made six saves including a crucial save in the 29th minute when she deflected a shot on goal by punching it over the crossbar.

"We felt Alabama was one of the better teams we've played all season," Missouri head coach Bryan Blitz said. "We're fortunate to steal this win on the road."

The Tigers (13-3, 8-2 in SEC play) will face  Arkansas 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Audrey J. Walton Stadium.
