Missouri men's basketball takes 17th spot in USA Today preseason poll

COLUMBIA — The Missouri men's basketball team is ranked No. 17 in the preseason USA Today Top 25 Coaches' Poll for the 2012-13 season, released Wednesday.

Missouri ended last season at No. 11 in the poll after a 30-5 season and a first-round NCAA tournament loss.

Three Southeastern Conference teams including Missouri were ranked in the top 25, with defending national champion Kentucky ranked No. 3 and Florida at No. 10.

Indiana took the top spot in the poll, receiving 21 of 31 first-place votes.
