PACIFIC, Mo. — A crash involving three tractor-trailers in suburban St. Louis caused no injuries but created quite a mess.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the accident Wednesday morning on Interstate 44 near Pacific caused the tractor-trailers to lose their loads, leaving cans of soup and boxes of salad dressing strewn along some of the driving lanes.

The trucks crashed at 5:20 a.m., shutting down all westbound lanes for more than three hours. Traffic backed up for about 3.5 miles.
