Columbia College cross country performs well at St. Louis Fall Classic

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College cross country teams had success Saturday at the St. Louis Fall Classic. The Cougars won the men's race at the event, while the Cougars' women's runners finished third.

The Cougars men were paced by freshman Cody Gorham, who finished second with a time of 25 minutes, 27 seconds. Michael McCulloch finished fourth, Cameron Schmitz placed sixth and Devin Sander came in eighth.

For the women, freshman Julia Montgomery was the highest finisher in fifth place. Julia Collins was the next Cougars finisher, coming in 15th. 

Columbia College doesn't race again until Nov. 2 when they head to Jefferson City for the American Midwest Conference Championships.
